Girls Love Horses

Nearly every girl, no matter how old they are, loves horses. They draw them, play with horse toys and even bug their parents about them. If you have a horse crazy girl, maybe it’s time to get her something that will really put a smile on her face: horse bedding for girls.

There are a ton if different colors, styles and brands for you to choose from, so no matter your daughter’s tastes, there is guaranteed to be something for her. She’ll be so proud of her new pony or horse bedding that she’ll have all of her friends over for tea and show off her new bedding set. Just imagine the look on her face when she sees what you got her.

Look around the Net for ideas and be sure to get her input before ordering, that way she’ll be certain to love her new horse bedding set.

The Psychology of Chairs

Amongst the many details of interior design for coffee shops, cafe chairs may be the most vital. They are, in a way, like shoes are to an outfit: something that can make or break the look but shouldn’t draw too much attention to itself in the process. The worst of these chairs are the plastic, silver ones that so many cafes have. I understand they’re cheap and in the right light and with a few pints in you they may actually look rustic. But ultimately they look cheap and they tell me that you are not a business that pays attention to the small things and thus I don’t even want to try your food or coffee. Even if either were above average I don’t want to sit in a place as sterile as some second hand furniture store. If you are trying to make people stay, then make the decor inviting.

Cheap Bookshelves Play an Important Role in the Home

You need a book. You want a book. You scan the cheap bookshelves of your home, your library, your bookstore, eagerly looking for it. But do you ever think about the bookshelf upon which it rests? The bookshelf , whether humble or elaborate, carefully or haphazardly organized, half empty or packed full, is a fact of life. Almost every household has at least one. But where did they come from?

In “The Book on the Book Shelf” (Alfred A. Knopf, $26), engineer Henry Petroski, author of “The Pencil” and “The Evolution of Useful Things,” takes readers on a tour of the humble bookshelf , its history intertwined with that of books themselves.

In early libraries, books, then in the form of scrolls, were rolled up and inserted into boxes, sometimes upright round containers resembling modern hat boxes. Tags were added for easy identification. Imagine the ancient library at Alexandria, scrolls rustling as individual ones were pulled out for easy use. Bound manuscripts, or codices, often resembling tablets, eventually replaced scrolls as books by the early years of the Christian era. They were kept in a closed, usually locked, cabinet called an armarium. Early books, because they were handmade, were incredibly valuable.

Our Son Has Graduated from University

When our son graduated from University everyone in the family was very proud. I sent his grandparents photo canvas graduation pictures. One to my parents and two to my wife’s parents who had been divorced. The frames sit nicely on whatever piece of furniture or mantel they want and I think the picture looks a lot better when it is printed on canvas than just paper. A nice bit of quality to commemorate a very important event in our family’s life. Now, you would think that my wife would have been happy about what I had done. She hadn’t even had to tell me to do it. But, no, I put her totally out of sorts because I didn’t order US one too! Fortunately, I could easily retify my gross error by ordering two more — one for home and one for her job. I can think fast when I want.

A Dish Drying Rack Makes It Easy

Nobody out there really enjoys doing the dishes. However, there are some products that can make the process slightly more enjoyable. By using a dish drying rack you will be able to quickly organize and dry your dishes in no time at all. The best dish drying rack will be small enough to fit into your sink but large enough to place multiple dishes. To use the rack all you need to do is place the dishes in the designated slots and walk away. It is that easy. The dishes will begin drying immediately. Over the course of a few hours the dishes will be totally cleaned and ready to be put away. When you are done using the rack you can either leave it in the sink or store it away in a cabinet. Since the best dish drying racks are so small they are very easy to store.
