Did you ever experience agony over deciding what colors of fabric to use for your quilt? About what would make a quilt come alive and what would make it just so-so? Given that you know how to mix and match colors when you coordinate your clothes, this should also give you an idea of what would make that special quilt come together.
In interior design, you will be asked to pick a color and the designers will design around that color. In quilt making, the fabrics you choose will depend on where and how the quilt will be used so it’s only a matter of choosing what fabrics will complement each other as with clothes and quilts, it’s the overall look that will matter. Try putting your fabric pieces together then stand back at least six feet away to get a vision of how it would like. Try to incorporate as much hue as possible – light, medium and dark. Different textures can also work, like mixing smooth satin with an animal print fabric. The trick to it is avoiding being too mix and match as the unexpected always makes a quilt a pleasant surprise.
So don’t stress over your colors for your quilt. Learning how to make a quilt is often a go-with-what-you-like thing. A quilt should express your personal tastes and it’s not about what looks good to everyone else, it’s what looks good to you.

It was not until I had my first child that I wanted to know How to Make a Family Tree for my family. We were a little family, so I knew we would not have a complicated tree, or so I thought. I does depend on how far reaching you want your tree to be, but at least in my family, it is surprising how things can get complicated fast. As I began the initial planning process, I even realized that I would have to do some research into who I was related to a few branches away if I wanted to include some of the relatives we have still kept touch with. A family tree is a great representation of our past, and will be a great learning tool for my children. But I forgot how many sisters and brothers my grandparents had, and unless I want to just simplify it by leaving them all out, I had a much mightier oak than I first conceived.

If you are tired of wearing the same clothes that everybody else wears or are tired of only having a few choices to choose from at your favorite clothing store perhaps you should think about ways that you could design your own hoodie. If you design your own hoodie you would be assured that the hoodie that you design it will be one-of-a-kind and there will not be another one around all like it. Many people prefer to have a unique design on their hoodie then to have the same old graphic that is screen printed onto millions of goodies and sold at major department stores. Some people like thinking outside of the box. Some people are quite artistic. For those people it is more desirable to have a personalized graphic on a hoodie then a mainstream image. Mainstream department stores are starting to realize this and are trying to diversify in the amount of graphics that day have on their hoodies.
